Can the strategy of regional resource-based manufacturing help in promoting employment in India?

It is the age old story. I dont see much change in the past decade.

IT has crept into optimising resource management at a fundamental level. Now need based farming or mining is possible. Wastage is reduced. Supply system is far enhanced.

On the other side it is not just resources of a region that matters. If you take China as an example, large scale integration is a pivotal force in manufacturing economy.

Employment is a big challenge now. At a cottage industry level only we can plan employment. Otherwise service sector is where it helps employment. You see the models of logistics companies or communication companies (call centres) giving employment to millions is where the game is.

GDP on service growth to about 35% is what the next decade should be. With digital transactions getting beyond 70% and tax base increased to 30% we will be on our way to becoming a developed economy.
