DEFOG Architecture

DEFOG Architecture helps you build your enterprise through 4 distinct treatments.

 

These are code named WIWA, My dream, GRIP - Getting control of my dream, ATMA - Specifying the methods, LEAP - each staff acting on my shared dream.

WIWA - What I Want to Achieve!

Much higher achievement is possible for any enterprise if they could bring higher clarity on WIWA.  Key stake holders should agree upon enterprise WIWA. The WIWA should deliver the core value of the enterprise. DEFOG architecture through psychometric labs and mind tuning games helps to define and unify the WIWA as the first stage in Organisation Development (OD). Now the organisation needs to be tuned to ensure that the processes, people and facility should consistently work towards realizing the WIWA. That is achieved through the next 3 stages of OD treatment.

WIWA OUTCOME: When WIWA workshops are completed successfully, the enterprise owners should be able to have a WIWA document which illustrates the key processes, people skills and facilities as per the aspiration. In its absence, we will remain confused; we will keep fighting internally trying to prove each other wrong. We will keep doing 2 things that we like most and 2 things that we are forced to do. To achieve WIWA we will have to do 40 things.
 

GRIP   Goal – Role – Initiative – Participation

Once enterprise goals are set, we move into making translated targets for each department.  Various employees grouped in cross functional teams, sit to define the set of initiatives to achieve their departmental target.  They also define the participation needed in response to the initiatives from other persons or departments, management, agencies, customers or vendors, etc. This is about project scheduling and coordination of initiatives.

GRIP OUTCOME: Result will come only if the process is successfully completed. There may not be a proportionate result for the part completed. But since missions have a cost, initiatives may also result in cash burn. Hence Control and coordination is very critical for mission success.

ATMA   Aim – Track – Model – Articulate

ATMA is about building micro content of processes through the initiatives. Each initiative declared in GRIP comes from goal and goal has come from vision. Vision deployment is all about content, and its resolution in optics or elasticity as in properties of matter. An image can be 20 Kb or 20MB. At small sizes it looks the same. But a 20 Kb image would crack when you stretch. Each initiative should lead to target-driven innovations. 


ATMA OUTCOME: You get your wealth when investors buy your stake at a much higher price than your cost.  For this, investors need to see clarity through systems and tools, avoidance of person centric leadership, and most importantly growth potential at proportionately decreasing costs (breaking the Linearity Syndrome).
 

LEAP - Leadership Enabling & Activity Programming

Once new models are illustrated and articulated, the enterprise moves into making investments and taking risks. There will be higher and complex challenges that each leader faces, and this needs them to handle higher number of tasks at higher standards of excellence. Many times it looks like asking a mountaineer to dig a well or asking a fish to run on ground. Learning to manage different Personality style,  problem solving with limited information, negotiation in thin air, etc. play a crucial part in Leadership enabling.

LEAP OUTCOME: Each individual is different in Attitude, Behaviour and Commitment. But these people need to operate together to achieve the goal. Changing them is not the need, for we can't change anyone. We only can integrate them. Their differences are our strength. Wealth creation is directly proportional to the success in integrating different abilities and styles.
