INVESTMENT & COMMITMENT

While you are at business there are risks taken both in terms of investments and in terms of commitment to various entities and stakeholders.  In business, as compared to life, the commitment to deliver is a stiff standard.  On one side, you are committing your wealth to the business, and on the other you are committing to customers, staff, society, etc.  This risk is to be managed while planning on goals to achieve.

MANAGEMENT OF RESOURCES

The management of resources, to perform as per commitment, has consistent challenges. Mostly, lack of planning and lack of processes is found as the root cause of the problem. Since the process model is not well defined, roles and goals can’t be defined. In target setting sessions the owners largely depend on personal commitments to deliver because there will be no structured specific templates on work and performance.

TEMPLATES FOR PLANNING & MEASUREMENTS

If the organisation can create such templates for target setting with realistic process models removing unclear tasks and hopes built on such unclear tasks, it goes a long way in achieving consistent business success. Normally in enterprises, the targets and the tasks lists would be a mix of reality and aspirations. But while concluding targets, if we can patiently conclude all aspirations into the work model, and sync between functions, it helps performance.
